The Law and Grace

  Part1

 The Law And Grace

Abbreviations:
The Ten Commandments...(TTC)
Animal Sacrifice Law...(ASL)

Much has been said about the Law and Grace and most of what I hear on this subject is bad teaching for lack of knowledge and understanding of the A-S-L.

There is no division between the Law and Grace, they work together. You sin when you break God's law. If you repent God through his grace will forgive you.

The grace God gives to the sinner when they repent do not remove the law that revealed their sins.

1Jn;3-4 whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law. What law? T-T-C.

The problem is the preachers that teach grace lack understanding when they talk about the law, they don't separate the A-S-L from T-T-C.

And because of their lack of knowledge, they feed false information to people that listen, in church, at home or wherever.

Is:29,10/13
10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Hosea:4-6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.......

2Pet:3-8 God is not willing that any should perish but all should come to repentance.

God is a merciful God; Ex;34,6-7

The law condemn, Rom:3-20 for by the law is the knowledge of sin. The law will expose your  sin.

Rom:7-7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. I had not known sin but by the law: for I had not known lust except the law said "Thou shall not covet"

1,The law is a good thing:Rom:7,12,14
2,It keep order: 1Corth:14-40 ....do all things decently and in order
3The law protect and guide God;s people:Ps:23
4,An absence of, or violation of laws bring disorder; Deut:4-6 Keep them for this is your wisdom
5,The key to success is obeying the law; Josh:1-8
6,You are successful only to the laws you submit to:Rom:6,16-18
7,Keep the law and receive Eternal Life :Matt:19,16-19 /
8,The law is forever:Ps:111,7-8, Ps119-160
10,You can;t know Jesus without keeping the Commandments:1Jn2,3-4
11,Blessed are they that do his commandments:Rev:22-14
12,The  keeping of the law is  the whole duty of man:Ecc:12-13

Rom:8-1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. The law is not for the righteous but for sinners.

Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. No law, no legal right to condemn sin. Again the absence of law demand destruction, you're saying; HELLO WORLD do whatever your heart so desire.

In Genesis chapter 3: this is where we will begin, when Adam and Eve heard the voice of God walking in the garden.

Gen 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
v-10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
v-11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
v-12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
v-13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. What was it she ate and gave to Adam and he ate. Hosea:10-13 they ate the fruit of the devils lies.

I want to interject here in verse 11, when God said Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hearing these words from God, let us know, Eve was having a conversation with the serpent.

She received and ate every word the serpent said, then spoke those words to Adam who received and ate the same words that became the death of mankind.

Just as God promised, the day you eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall surely die, man died that very day. Now let's identify the serpent.

Rev 12:7-9
12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels.
12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Notice it said the devil was cast out into the earth not in hell burning in the fire, not yet, but in the future it will happen. Now we see the serpent that talked to Eve was Satan the devil a cherub angel, subtil in all his ways.

2Pe_3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. No man has ever lived to be 1000 years.

look what God did;

Gen 3:20-21 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
v-21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Here God killed an animal took the skins from the animal and clothed Adam and his wife covering their nakedness or sin, this is all an animal sacrifice could do, cover sin; a temporary fix.

Heb: 10-4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats could take away sin.

Let us define sin again; because of one man's sin, it brought death upon all men.

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. What law? T-T-C.

Failure to keep the Law was always the result of one walking after their flesh obeying the dictates of their carnal mind and yet you say you're born again full of the Holy Ghost, that's double minded: the bible says you can;t receive anything from God. Ja:1-8

Rom: 8-7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: (your carnal mind is a product of Satan) for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

If you live by your carnal mind that is against God, you will not keep the law and can not access the benefits of grace except you repent. Rom:5,1-2 >>> Acts:2-38 Sinner grace is not a hiding place for you, except you repent you shall all parish in the lake of fire.

Rom_8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, (this is the A-S-L, not the T-T-C), God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

When Jesus died he put sin away Heb:9-26, but at the point of your repentance he only dealt with your past sins Rom:3-25, he cleaned you up with his blood (Rev:1-5) and made you a new creature in Christ (2Corth:5-17) free to live unto God with great hope, at your end you will receive eternal life and become God.

Rom:3-28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Gal: 3-24 Wherefore the law (A-S-L) was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

v-25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster which was the A-S-L administered by Aaron and the levites who did the service. That administration is over.

A-S-L and the levitical priesthood is like getting hired part time, you get no benefits no bonuses, you are temporary

However, if you become a full time employee which would represent you being in the body of Christ,  you get all the benefits the company has to offer, you get increase in pay, insurance, vacations, job security, 401k, medical, dental, vision and more if you stay with the company.

That was a vivid description of comparing The Levitical Priesthood and the Animal Sacrificial Law to the Priesthood of Jesus after the order of Melchizedek.

One was a Priesthood ordained by God run by man, that could bring nothing to perfection, the other a Priesthood run buy GOD who will bring all things to perfection.

Ephe:2-15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity or hostility, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;

Gal:3,17-21 Wherefore serve the law, (A-S-L) It was against us, it was added because of transgressions.

It was temporary and there were many things that were important to us it could not deliver, it could not forgive sin, it could not keep us from dying or give eternal life. Thus God has established a new covenant based on better promises.

Heb:8 >>> But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Heb:7-11-19
If  therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron.

For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the alter.

For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

And it is yet far more evident; for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest. Who is made, not after a law of a carnal commandment, but after a endless life.

For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh to God.

One important lesson we learned from this law is when you sin the blood of an animal had to be shed to satisfy the law, an animal had to die or you had to pay the price. The wages of sin is death.

Mk: 15-37,38  And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost. v-38 And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

Because the veil was rent, (Matt:27-51) there was no more Holy of Holies for the High Priest to make an atonement for himself or for the people, and no Holy place to kill the animals. The Levitical Priesthood and the animal sacrifice ended at the death of Jesus.

Jer:21-23 Eat your burned offerings, I commanded you to obey my voice.

Here Moses is talking about the 10 Commandments, not the animal sacrifice law.

Deut: 4,1-8  Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.
v-2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
v-3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baal Peor: for all the men that followed Baal Peor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
v-4 But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.
v-5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
v-6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
v-7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
v-8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

Pro 28:7  Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
Ps 19-7  The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul
Pro 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. The Ten Commandments are God's covenant with Israel forever, and all that come through Christ.

Ex 19: 4,8 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. The Lord's strength and his alone.
v-5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
v-6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
v-7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
v-8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.

God wanted Israel to love, fear and obey him ls:5-29

Ex:19, 11-12 Then the Lord instructed Moses to tell the people sanctify yourselves two days and let them wash their clothes bath with water and be ready on the third day For on the third day the Lord will come down on Mt. Sini in sight of all the people: and set bounds for the people not to cross lest they die.

The Blood Covenant With Israel: The Ten Commandments

In Ex 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying, it was God that gave Israel the 10 commandments on mount Sinai.

We want to make it clear that God gave His law and judgments first to Israel and then to Moses as he wrote them on two tables of stone with his own fingers, and cut a Blood covenant with Israel.

Exo 24:5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.
v-6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.
v-7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, all that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
v-8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
